Hello from OBX!  The weather is gorgeous and I'm soaking up every moment!  Vacation doesn't get more perfect than laying by the pool with a good book.  Or for me it doesn't :)  So while I'm busy relaxing, I lined up a few of the sweetest bloggers to keep you company.  The lovely Tiffany from Living Savvy is here today sharing her amazing office transformation.  Her blog is full of all things pretty and gorgeous for your home, and she offers e-design packages to help you create your perfect space.

Hello all Busy Girl readers!  I am Tiffany from {Living Savvy}!
I am so happy to be filling in for Nicole while she is taking a little vaca from being her busy girl self!

Has this summer just flown by?  I have felt like it just started to get hot, and then I see slippers in Target!  Well I had quite a long home to-do list for my summer and I have barley been able to scratch off the first few.  Only because {aside from lounging by the pool} I have been focusing my design domino effect taking place with in my house!  What is a design domino effect you ask... well here is mine...
A few weeks ago my husbands grandfather gave us an old desktop mac.  The computer was in perfectly good condition and we needed an extra since internet source my laptop had been damaged by a falling Mai Tai {very long story} so we happily accepted it.  The only problem is where should we put it?  After standing and staring at the thing for a few hours I found the perfect spot for it.  But as soon as I moved the desk there, a lot of the surrounding areas no longer worked!  So I gave myself a small $100 budget to make it a place I would enjoy working on the computer.

It started with the new computer and this chair {a $25 chair my MIL bought for me}:

The chair became this:

The fabric was the perfect addition to the space since it is smack in the middle of my great room/kitchen area!  It continued the eclectic mix of old and modern that is all over my house.  The combo of the chair traditional style and bold retro fabric mixed with the modern lines of the desk... is PERFECT!

Then I needed to add a little bit of organization and a space to put all of my inspirational items for client projects so I changed up a fabric bulletin board I had already made, and added a new inspiration board to the space.

{See how I took a $6.95 cork board and made it look like this, here}
Since the new space is right next to my sliding glass door {and my house gets blazing afternoon sunlight} I had to add some panels to close when I am working in the afternoon.  I simply took some Ikea panels and embellished them with some fabric that I found on sale!

Once the desk area was done and fully accessorized, I moved over to the dining area...  I am still working on this space but I am very happy with the change that is being made.  Here are some preview pics:

{see a little more about the change, here}
I have had those chairs for years but never really thought I would reupholster them and use them!  I am in LOVE with them now!

Come visit {Living Savvy} this week and see how the design domino effect has spread into my family room!
