half moon

Winter in Cleveland can be downright depressing.
Other than the fact that we finally, finally got hit with a legitimate snowstorm this weekend.
Hey, if it's going to be cold, why shouldn't there be snow?

It's hard to incorporate bright colors in the winter, since the majority of my colorful clothing isn't quite winter-appropriate .  So even if I'm bundled up in neutrals, I like to add a pop of color.

I felt very equestrian in this for some reason.

This Penny Gibbous Moon bracelet from Poshlocket brights up my day.  The bright turquoise and tangerine remind me of warm summer days on the water.
Even on days when the weather is a little chilly.

[ruffle shirt from urban outfitters, cardigan from loft, jeans from express, belt from f21, bracelet c/o poshlocket]

Also, I successfully executed the fish tail braid.  I think.

It seems so simple in concept but apparently my fingers are not as coordinated as I'd like to think.
Not bad for the first attempt that stayed for more than twenty minutes.

Great outfit (I would be a little chilly without a coat though haha) Your bracelet is fabulous, I love pops of orange in the winter! Stay warm :) Have a great week!

I think our hair looks great! I struggle doing anything twisty/braid-like to mine.

There is so much I love about this. That bracelet..need. In fact if it disappears one of these days, well, just know it went to a good home ;)

And I'm majorly impressed with your hair..regular braiding for me requires concentration and multiple bobby pins.

I feel as if it's the braid and boots that make you feel equestrian? Maybe? You look good though, you can definitely pull off equestrian. I'm so jealous you get snow htough. Unlike in Louisiana, when it'll be 80 one day and 28 the next (no, I'm not kidding).

My fishtail braids never worked--just don't think i ever got my head around it.

Love the outfit, particularly the ruffle shirt: I love ruffles!
